Thanksgiving

1. the act of giving thanks;grateful acknowledgment of benefit or favors, especially to God. 

2. an expression of thanks, especially to God. 

3. a public celebration in acknowledgement of divine favor or kindness.

4.a day set apart for giving thanks to God.

This holiday season let's not forget what the holiday is all about. 

Sometimes we get so caught up in cooking, spending time with family, and rushing between family gatherings that we forget to give thanks to the Lord who has given us everything! 

This thanksgiving we need to take some time to Thank God for our wonderful family and friends. 

May all the Praise and Glory go to God for everything that happens in our lives and to Him we owe all the Thanks as well! :D

Although we only celebrate giving thanks one time a year shouldn't we always give thanks to the Lord for all He has done?

After all God did send Jesus to die on the Cross for our sins to be forgiven, that alone is a wonderful reason to give thanks daily! :D 

Every morning He wakes us up, every time we walk outside He protects us, the Lord is always there to lift us up when we are down so shouldn't we lift Him up all the time! 

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 107:1 

Smile! Jesus Gave His life for YOU! :D

Smile!

Some days are so hard to smile, 

sometimes we only want to cry. 

We will all face some sort of trial 

but this to shall pass us by. 

Just a simple smile can make for a better day,

Although it is tough 

we should try to smile anyway. 

We are not the ones who had it rough. 

Jesus gave His life for us to be free,

that's the best reason to smile if you ask me! :D 

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Proverbs 15:13

Always remember your smile can brighten up a room! 

As Christians we should rejoice in the Lord always, we should look past those things of this world that have hurt us. 

God forgives us of our sins just as we should be quick to forgive others of their sins. 

With Christ, a cheerful heart, and forgiveness near by we should always have true Joy, therefore, we should always SMILE!!! :D 

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:31-32

Angry Much?!

Quick to anger, but slow to forgive

is this the way we were taught to live?

The bible speaks against it but to the world,

anger is nothing but a little tension swirled.

No matter what happens in our heart we should know

that the Lord has everything in complete control! 

When I get mad I always say, 

Christ loves me and proved it that day on calvary!

Do not let your anger get the best of you because anger can corrupt the way others may view you. as Christian we should turn from anger and be quick to forgive. Jesus Christ was on the cross and prayed 

Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. Luke 23:34

Christ came to this world to save us from our sin, anger is one of those sins that can sometimes get the best of us! Do not let you anger over come the person who you are, be a light unto this angry world and win others with LOVE!! :D 

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: 

fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. Psalm 37:8

Never Alone!

The clouds are growing darker and so is my heart,

I want to love everyone but sometimes it seems so hard.

So many people have hurt me in so many ways,

It seems like I am lost in a confusion of daze.

Feeling all alone with no one by my side,

But when I lift my chin I see someone in whom I can confide.

Even in the worst days HE is always there,

He shows me that HE will always care.

I wish I could go home with Him today,

But there are many more people on the earth that need some help finding the way.

Our purpose on this earth is not to live for ourselves,

But to live for someone greater and not just leave His word on the bookshelves.

Some people never hear about the Lord and the great things HE has done,

That is what we are here for, to spread the word of the One and Only Son.

He died for us to show His love,

And we should live for Him who waits for us above.

So many times I get caught up in this world, I try to do things on my own then I fall in a swamp full of alligators ready to devour me whole. After sobbing and fearing my life is gone, the lord reaches out his hand and lifts me out of the torture. He wipes my eyes and reminds me once again I cannot do things on my own, and I do not have to try, because the Lord is always with me & with Him I can do anything! :D

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Matthew 14:31

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Matthew 5:15

Worry & Doubt!

Though I know He has never directed me wrong,

I worry if I can take this on and stay just as strong?

I have so many opportunities but I want just one,

Even though they have decided to move on.

I know whatever the Lord has in-store

Will be so much better than before!

I try not to doubt but then I look around

And just like Peter I start to drown.

We have all experienced worry and doubt sometime in our lives,

But when we hand it over to God, he always provides!

It is very hard to be in doubt and not have total control,

But handed over to Him, He can make us whole!

My worries are like tornadoes, all they do is damage,

Through my Faith in God I will never go without a bandage.

He heals my open wounds and picks me up to my feet

And in the end I know with Him I cannot be beat!

Handing over our problems to the Lord makes everything turn out so much better! So many times when we try to do things on our own they turn out worse than we ever expected, but when the Lord is in control everything seems to turn out so much better than expected! J

Sometimes in life I forget to give Him the Glory. I try to say I did it on my own; I try to take His glory for my own. But why, do I not know that it is only through Him I am alive, do I not understand that He gives me strength to do anything? Sometimes this world tries to make us think that we are the mighty ones, and that we can do everything on our own, but in all reality without God none of us would be here!

⁵Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; 
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
 ⁶In all thy ways acknowledge him, 
and he shall direct thy paths.
 Proverbs 3:5-6

Revitalized!

My heart is shattered,

I feel as if my life is tattered,

my knees are trembling,

I can not take all this battling.

This world will fail me time and time again

But my God will carry me till the very end.

I trust in Him, and Him alone

has saved my life & saved my soul!

This world is cruel and vindictive to all 

but He lifts me up so I will not fall.

Do not seek revenge for it does not help,

the only reaction I may get is a yelp.

I know through Him anything is possible

and that is why I try to live by His word the Bible!

Though I may be scared and trip at times

the Lord forgives and saves me for a lifetime!

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.  Isaiah 40:8

Struck by Lightning!

When struck by lightening there is an intense pressure that goes throughout the object that has been struck, when the power of the Lord has hit us shouldn't we feel this same sensation?

Not saying it is a physical feeling throughout but the emotional change should be just as powerful as a lightening strike! We may have to be struck down a time or two but the Lord is always there to help us up in the end!

What a beautiful thing it is to have a relationship with Christ, for it to be so strong that when we pray we feel as if He is right there & that we are talking to our best friend! To be a Christian is so much more than a religion, it is a relationship! A personal bond with the one that we hold to, that we trust, that we love, and the one that we know loves us more than anything in this world! It is so nice to know that even when you feel down or lonely the Lord is always there. To know that even when we feel like we getting caught in the quicksand of this world He lifts us up and places our feet on solid ground! :D

 "Let your conduct be without covetousness, and be content with such things that you have, for he has said, 'I will never leave you, nor forsake you,' so that we may boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.'" Hebrews 13:5-6


His love should flow out of us as Christians, and we should not be afraid of anything that may happen in this world because we know the He is with us! Everyone around us should be able to tell we walk with Him just by the way we present ourselves. We are all guilty of letting the Lord down sometimes but our personal relationship with Him is always there and He will forgive us no matter what! :D
Be bold to stand for what we believe in and don't ever let this world bring us down. 
Have the power & the light of His strike shining though us at all times!!
